Triplefeature theater-hopping conceptual art project with my friend Braden:
We started out by arriving late to Talladega Nights. So much one linering but not really any sort of plot, Sascha Baron-Cohen displays even more of his amazing range. Some funny laughs but it was no Beerfest for sure. I forgot to bring a fork so i had to eat my raw/vegan "lasagne" with my fingers, and it was messy.
Then while waiting for the horrible, horrible, terrible, terrible Pulse we saw the end of Beerfest and the bepginning of The Descent, both of which were better movies that anything else that night. Then we saw Pulse and it was really really not good. Then hopped into Miami Vice to kill time before the next flick Idlewild started. Miami Vice looked like it was all shot on handheld DV, and it sucked terrible bad. Colin Farrell was amazing in bad style. There was a Mogwai song over the end scene, ha! sucks to be Mogwai, but i bet they got paid and bought some video games and chips.
Then we saw Idlewild, the new Outkast movie, which was better than the previous movies but not as good as you would hope it would be. There were some nice moments in it, but overall it wasn’t 100% compelling. My butt hurt. I fell asleep a couple times.
After 5 hours in the theater, I noticed many different smells that i didn’t before. Then i couldn’t ignore them. The conclusion is something like "America is eating poo poo doodie, culturally" or something like "the mainstream is not good" or somthing like "how did they actually MAKE this movie and not just STOP when they realized how bad it was going to be?" Movies cost a LOT of money to make. Wow! Oh, also it was a VisionQuest ™ and i discovered that my "spirit animal" is Colin Farrell in Miami Vice.
